Backend Engineer (Java) – Trading

About the role

Binance is a leading global blockchain ecosystem behind the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange. The Know Your Customer Technology Team builds a large‑scale KYC platform to ensure seamless onboarding and compliance for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust services with solid code and meaningful tests.
• Proactively initiate performance tuning, troubleshoot incidents, and maintain high‑quality technical documentation.
• Write high‑quality code following best practices and advocate for engineering excellence.
• Collaborate across engineering teams and mentor junior members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience building high‑throughput distributed applications.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin to coordinate with overseas partners.
• Ability to work under pressure and collaborate across time zones.

Required skills

• Core Java and the Spring Framework.
• MySQL and at least one NoSQL database.
• Design of distributed systems and familiarity with messaging middleware.
• Performance tuning on JVM, SQL, and RPC.
