Counsel – Applied Legal Research (Singapore)

About the role

Centari is looking for an experienced transactional attorney to join its Applied Legal Research team in Singapore. You will combine corporate law expertise with cutting‑edge generative AI to enhance Centari’s Deal Intelligence platform.

Key responsibilities

• Develop subject‑matter expertise to support AI research in transactional law.
• Prompt‑engineer and fine‑tune large language models for legal applications.
• Build proprietary benchmarks to evaluate model performance.
• Tackle unsolved AI problems in document analysis and legal reasoning.
• Contribute to improving data‑extraction capabilities for sophisticated legal work.

Required profile

• LL.B., J.D., or equivalent; Singapore‑qualified lawyer (or qualified in another common‑law jurisdiction).
• Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience, preferably at a reputable local or international law firm.
• Experience with debt finance, funds, or complex M&A transactions is a plus.
• High technical aptitude and comfort with learning cutting‑edge systems.
• Demonstrated interest in prompt engineering and leveraging LLMs for legal work.
• Generalist mindset with the ability to quickly learn new areas of law.
