Credit Manager – Industrial Manufacturing

About the role

The Credit Manager will lead the credit management function for a market‑leading industrial manufacturer. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role safeguards the company’s financial health through rigorous credit risk assessment, collections, and receivables optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate credit applications and conduct credit checks for new and existing customers.
• Analyse customer financial statements and business performance to determine creditworthiness.
• Collaborate with credit insurers to set appropriate credit limits.
• Prepare internal credit approval recommendations and regularly review customer portfolios.
• Work with commercial teams to resolve disputes, negotiate payment terms, and drive timely collections.
• Identify high‑risk accounts, recommend credit holds, and support legal recovery actions when needed.
• Lead, coach, and develop the credit control team while ensuring compliance with policies.
• Provide senior management with updates on emerging credit risks and mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Business, Commerce, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of credit control or credit risk management experience.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proven leadership experience in a dynamic environment.
