Director – Business Tax Financial Services

About the role

Join Deloitte's Financial Services Tax team in Singapore as a Director, leading complex tax advisory and compliance work for leading financial institutions. You will shape service offerings, mentor talent and drive high‑impact engagements across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Build and deepen long‑term client relationships, identifying new opportunities.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing tax team, overseeing their technical and operational growth.
• Oversee delivery of complex tax advisory and compliance projects for financial‑services clients.
• Advise on tax research, technical matters and lead M&A workstreams including due diligence and structuring.
• Monitor sector developments to shape new service offerings and market strategies.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of corporate tax experience, preferably in a Big Four, international firm or financial institution.
• Relevant degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Accounting, Finance, Law or related field.
• CPA or CA certification strongly preferred; SCTP accreditation is a plus.
• Deep expertise in at least one financial‑services subsector (banking, capital markets, insurance, investment management, real estate, digital assets or M&A tax).
• Proven leadership, client‑engagement and project‑management capabilities.
