Director of Event Management

About the role

The Director of Event Management leads all event‑related functions at The St. Regis Singapore, ensuring seamless execution from sales through operations and back to sales. This senior position drives the brand’s service strategy, maximises event revenue, and upholds the highest standards of guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee Event Management operations, including Event Planning, Banquets/Catering, Event Service and Event Technology.
• Manage departmental budgets, research competition, and develop pricing strategies.
• Coordinate with culinary teams to ensure food safety and sanitation compliance.
• Maintain meeting spaces, heart‑of‑house areas, furniture and equipment according to corporate guidelines.
• Lead the Event Planning team (BEO/Resume writers) and ensure accurate event documentation.
• Develop and execute an Event Management strategy aligned with the brand’s business objectives.
• Set performance expectations, communicate departmental goals, and hold leadership accountable.
• Drive profitability by encouraging calculated risk‑taking and managing high‑profile groups.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of experience in event management, food & beverage, sales or marketing, OR
• Associate degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
