Financial Controller – Finance Leader for Global Company

About the role

The company is seeking a Financial Controller to join its Singapore headquarters. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead the finance function, supervise a small finance team and support the organisation’s international growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full spectrum of finance operations, including financial reporting, month‑end/year‑end closing, group consolidation and cash‑flow management.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with SFRS and support EU‑adopted IFRS reporting requirements.
• Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, treasury, corporate tax, transfer pricing and business performance analysis.
• Oversee audit, tax, regulatory reporting and stakeholder management while driving process improvements and internal controls.
• Supervise and mentor a small finance team in a collaborative international environment.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy or Finance; CPA, ACCA, CA or ISCA qualification preferred.
• At least 8 years of experience in accounting and finance, covering reporting, consolidation, audit and statutory compliance.
• Experience in leasing, logistics, shipping, transportation, asset‑intensive or multinational environments is advantageous.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to thrive in a hands‑on, collaborative setting.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Familiarity with treasury, foreign exchange (FX), tax and consolidation processes.
