Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

Palo IT is looking for a senior Forward Deployed Engineer who will act as a technical authority, lead engineering teams and embed AI‑first practices across projects. You will own technical direction, drive delivery excellence and champion responsible AI adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the technical roadmap, architecture and best‑practice standards for full‑stack projects.
• Lead, mentor and grow a team of engineers, managing performance, career development and recruitment.
• Integrate AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) into daily workflows, establishing prompt engineering and output validation guardrails.
• Collaborate with clients and sales teams to design solutions, shape proposals and contribute to reusable assets.

Required profile

• 10+ years of hands‑on software development with recent experience in client and team management.
• Proven track record of leading and mentoring full‑stack engineering teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on AI‑native ways of working.

Required skills

• Full‑stack development: ReactJS, NodeJS, Java, Python.
• AI coding assistants: GitHub Copilot, Cursor or equivalent.
• Prompt and context engineering for AI‑generated code.
• Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP.
• Solution architecture, security and performance best practices.
