Head of Brand Communications – Southeast Asia & Australia

About the role

The Head of Brand Communications, SEAA, will act as the regional architect of Chanel’s One House narrative across Southeast Asia and Australia. Reporting to the global Communications & Culture function, this senior leader will shape long‑term brand strategy, ensure cultural relevance and drive both internal and external brand advocacy.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the regional Brand Communications strategy and multi‑year roadmap, aligning with global brand priorities.
• Develop narrative architecture, messaging frameworks and editorial calendars that extend Chanel’s identity beyond product launches.
• Own the Brand Transmission framework, guaranteeing consistent expression of Chanel’s values across all markets.
• Partner with People & Organisation and market teams to strengthen employee brand advocacy and internal pride.
• Create tools, content and engagement platforms that enable employees and partners to become brand ambassadors.
• Integrate internal culture‑building initiatives with external storytelling to deliver a coherent brand experience.
• Collaborate with global teams on Arts & Culture programmes and cultural‑intelligence initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in brand communications, preferably within luxury or premium sectors.
• Strong strategic thinking with a track record of developing and executing multi‑market brand narratives.
• Deep cultural intelligence and ability to translate global priorities into region‑specific actions.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across global, regional and local teams.
• Ability to inspire and mobilise internal and external audiences around brand purpose.
