Lead Counsel – Infrastructure & Telecom Legal (APAC)

About the role

Meta is seeking a senior commercial transactions lawyer to lead the legal work for network infrastructure projects across the Asia‑Pacific region. You will negotiate, draft and manage contracts that enable the build‑out and operation of critical telecom and fibre‑optic assets supporting Meta’s services and AI initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Structure, draft and negotiate a broad portfolio of agreements, including general terms for telecom services, colocation contracts, dark‑fibre leases and IRUs.
• Support joint‑build and supply contracts for the construction of fibre‑optic cable systems.
• Leverage AI tools to improve productivity and contract analysis.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Compliance, and external counsel to ensure contracts meet deployment and risk requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Provide practical business and legal advice aligned with Meta’s policies and risk tolerance.

Required profile

• Law degree and a current practising certificate in a common‑law jurisdiction.
• 6+ years post‑qualification experience in commercial transactions, infrastructure or telecommunications law.
• Prior in‑house experience at a technology or telecom company.
• Proven track record drafting and negotiating technical infrastructure or telecom agreements.
• Experience with cross‑border transactions in the APAC region and familiarity with local telecom regulatory frameworks.
• Strong business judgment, strategic thinking and the ability to manage multiple projects under deadline pressure.
