Lead System Engineer – Windows & RHEL

About the role

We are seeking a Lead System Engineer to design, deploy and manage both Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) infrastructures for our Singapore project site. The role involves hands‑on system administration, automation, security hardening and collaboration with cross‑functional teams in an on‑premises and hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure and maintain Windows Server and RHEL platforms, including virtualization and storage solutions.
• Perform system administration tasks such as user management, access controls, patch management and security hardening.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash and Python to streamline operations.
• Monitor system performance, optimise resource utilisation and conduct capacity planning.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide timely resolutions, including on‑call incident support.
• Document system configurations, procedures and architecture, and conduct security assessments.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure administration, operations or support.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Windows Server/Wintel and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash and Python scripting/automation.
• Solid knowledge of patch management, security hardening, access control and system monitoring.
• Experience with virtualization, storage technologies and ITIL Foundation certification.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and documentation skills.
