Legal Associate – Disputes (0‑3 yrs PQE)

About the role

WhiteFern LLC is expanding its commercial disputes practice and seeks a dynamic Legal Associate to work on insurance and commercial litigation matters. You will join a boutique firm recognised for its expertise in disputes, handling a variety of cases from policy coverage to arbitration.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own files under direct supervision from the Director and Of Counsel.
• Conduct advocacy in State Courts, High Court (General and Appellate Divisions), Court of Appeal, and arbitral tribunals.
• Provide counsel on insurance‑related disputes, contract reviews, and policy wording evaluations.
• Assist senior lawyers on commercial, construction, employment, shareholders’, professional negligence, medical negligence, and MCST disputes.
• Maintain a varied caseload across insurance and commercial dispute matters.

Required profile

• 0‑3 years post‑qualification experience (PQE), Singapore‑qualified.
• Applicants completing practice training or awaiting call are welcome.
• Prior exposure to disputes (practice or training) is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Initiative, commercial sense, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Meticulous, well‑organised, and comfortable in a fast‑paced professional services environment.
• Comfortable with technology and interested in its application to legal work.
