About the role
The Ministry of Defence and Singapore Armed Forces are seeking a qualified Legal Counsel who will also serve as a Military Prosecutor. You will provide timely, sound legal advice across civil, international, operations and military law, supporting both policy development and frontline activities.
Key responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel to MINDEF/SAF departments on a wide range of legal issues.
- Conduct and manage military prosecutions in military courts.
- Review, draft and negotiate contracts.
- Support legislation and regulatory matters.
- Design and deliver legal training programmes.
- Advise on operations law for exercises and deployments.
Required profile
- Law degree with at least 2 years post‑qualification experience (candidates with no experience may also apply).
- Background in International Law is advantageous.
- Strong legal analysis, reasoning and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
