Legal Counsel – Regulatory Licensing & Corporate Support

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to work directly with the Group General Counsel. The role focuses on global regulatory licensing across Singapore, the United States, Hong Kong and Australia, as well as broad corporate and commercial legal support.

Key responsibilities

• Manage regulatory licensing matters in multiple jurisdictions, liaising with regulators and external law firms.
• Provide general counsel support for corporate, commercial, dispute, compliance and partnership matters.
• Draft original policy documents, governance frameworks, memoranda and contracts.
• Coordinate and oversee external counsel relationships across time zones.
• Act as a trusted advisor to Compliance, Partnerships, Sales and Business teams.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer (JD/LLB or equivalent) with bar admission in at least one relevant jurisdiction.
• 5‑10 years of experience, preferably in‑house at a fintech, payments or financial services firm or in a corporate/commercial/regulatory practice at a law firm.
• Demonstrated experience with financial‑services licensing (e.g., payment institution or money‑transmitter licences) across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong drafting skills for policy, governance and contractual documents.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to work across time zones.
• Familiarity with privacy law, dispute resolution and corporate governance is a plus.
