Legal Counsel – Regulatory Licensing & Corporate Support

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to work directly with the Group General Counsel. The role focuses on global regulatory licensing across jurisdictions such as Singapore, the United States, Hong Kong and Australia, as well as providing broad corporate, commercial and compliance support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead regulatory licensing projects for fintech, payments and financial‑services activities in multiple jurisdictions.
• Draft and maintain policy documents, governance frameworks, memoranda and commercial contracts.
• Manage relationships with external law firms and coordinate cross‑border legal advice.
• Act as a trusted advisor to Compliance, Partnerships, Sales and Business teams.
• Support dispute resolution, privacy law matters and corporate governance initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer (JD/LLB or equivalent) with bar admission in at least one relevant jurisdiction.
• 2–7 years of experience, preferably in‑house at a fintech, payments or financial‑services company, or in a corporate/regulatory practice at a law firm.
• Demonstrated experience with financial‑services licensing (e.g., payment institution or money‑transmitter licences) across multiple jurisdictions.
• Proven ability to manage external counsel across different time zones.
• Strong stakeholder‑management skills and ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly.
