Manufacturing Operations Manager

About the role

As a Manufacturing Operations Manager at ASM, you will lead semiconductor capital equipment manufacturing, ensuring tools are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will drive operational excellence through LEAN manufacturing, continuous improvement, and strong cross‑functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations to meet production, quality, safety, and delivery targets.
• Establish production schedules and performance metrics aligned with customer and business requirements.
• Monitor performance, implement corrective actions, and report updates to management.
• Drive LEAN and continuous‑improvement initiatives to optimise productivity and reduce costs.
• Support manufacturing space expansion and operational readiness projects.
• Partner with engineering to investigate non‑conformances and execute corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure teams are properly staffed, trained, and equipped for their tasks.
• Develop and coach manufacturing supervisors, fostering accountability and operational excellence.
• Maintain a safe, compliant, and organised work environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience leading manufacturing operations in semiconductor capital equipment, semiconductor manufacturing, or complex assembly environments.
• Demonstrated ability to build and develop high‑performing teams.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on productivity and cost improvement.
