Medical Manager – Clinical & Medical Affairs

About the role

Novartis is seeking a Medical Manager to lead high‑quality medical support and scientific input across its therapeutic areas. The role combines medical governance, stakeholder engagement, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure robust clinical and non‑interventional study execution.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to medical enquiries promptly, creating standard response documents for frequent questions.
• Provide scientific input for clinical trials, non‑interventional studies, and investigator‑initiated trials.
• Coordinate review and approval of medical and promotional materials, adapting global content to local requirements.
• Deliver medical insights to Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, QA, Commercial, and Brand teams.
• Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and monitor internal controls within the medical function.
• Maintain medical governance processes and meet departmental KPIs.

Required profile

• Degree in Medicine, PhD in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Affairs within pharma, biotech, or healthcare.
• Strong understanding of scientific communication, evidence generation, and medical governance.
• Ability to interpret clinical data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Proven collaboration skills in a matrixed, dynamic environment.
