About the role
Applied Materials is seeking a Planner to manage service parts, demand forecasting, and inventory for its semiconductor equipment business in Singapore. You will work closely with field service teams and internal stakeholders to ensure the right parts are available at the right time, supporting new fab ramp‑ups and service agreements.
Key responsibilities
- Service Parts Planning – position the right level of parts in the right locations to support business entitlements.
- Demand Forecast – review demand history and future outlook to improve forecast accuracy and variability.
- Inventory Control & Management – actively manage inventory turns, excess and obsolescence.
- Ramp Site Planning – prepare inventory for new fab installations and ramp schedules.
- Service Agreement Planning – coordinate inventory for service agreement delivery performance.
- Root Cause & Corrective Action – analyze order delivery misses and implement corrective actions.
- KPI Management & Communication – manage internal/external planning KPIs and reporting.
- Planning Systems & Dashboards – use ERP planning systems, inventory optimization software, and data visualization tools.
- Integration and Communication – align external business requests with internal resources.
- Problem‑Solving and Continuous Improvement – handle escalations, devise short‑term solutions and long‑term process improvements.
Required profile
- B.S. or M.S. degree (industrial engineering or supply‑chain related preferred).
- 3–8 years of experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
- Proven stakeholder management and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally and drive collaboration.
- Data‑analysis expertise.
