Plant Operator – Lubricant Blending & Production

About the role

Chevron is seeking a Plant Operator to join its lubricant blending operations at Jurong Terminal, Singapore. The role involves operating and monitoring production processes, ensuring product quality, and supporting safe plant operations on a rotating shift schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor VII blending and filling processes using the Yokogawa DCS system.
• Handle polymer bales, load automatic bale feeding conveyors, and perform additive decanting into storage tanks.
• Support start‑up, shutdown, and routine operation of the Thermal Oil Heater system.
• Respond to process alarms, record operating parameters, and assist in troubleshooting deviations.
• Collect process samples for laboratory quality analysis and support lubricants blending plant sampling.
• Assist with base oil vessel receipt, jetty activities, tank gauging, and inventory reconciliation.
• Operate weighbridge and perform SAP transactions for isotank loading and delivery documentation.
• Raise maintenance work orders, support Permit‑to‑Work and LOTO activities, and conduct daily operational inspections.
• Train new operators and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering, Chemical Process Technology, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in lubricant blending, petrochemical, chemical manufacturing or oil & gas operations.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and perform duties at heights.
• Good communication skills and teamwork orientation.

• Yokogawa Distributed Control System (DCS) operation.
• Human Machine Interface (HMI) familiarity.
• SAP transaction processing for logistics and documentation.
• Weighbridge system operation.
