PR & Media Communications Manager – Southeast Asia

About the role

Salt Talent Search is seeking a PR and Media Communications Manager to lead regional communications across Southeast Asia for a 12‑month extendable contract. You will partner with policy, consumer, and corporate teams to shape public perception, highlight social and economic impact, and showcase collaboration with regulators and tourism organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute consumer, corporate and policy communications strategies that boost favourability and awareness.
• Lead complex, proactive campaigns and solve emerging communication challenges.
• Draft story pitches, press releases, messaging guidelines, Q&As, briefs, presentations and speeches.
• Manage agency partners across all markets and coordinate influencer engagement strategies.
• Prepare media briefings, interview kits and support public speaking engagements.
• Build and maintain relationships with key reporters and understand regional media landscapes.
• Oversee a busy press office and ensure seamless collaboration with local and international communications teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 6+ years of consumer, corporate or policy communications experience, either in‑agency or in‑house.
• Exceptional writing, verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Thai or Bahasa is a plus.
• Established media network and proven media‑relations track record.
• Experience delivering proactive press projects, including data‑driven stories, events and press trips.
• Background handling complex regulatory issues in a political environment.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast‑paced, multi‑country projects.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and calm demeanor under pressure.
