Assistant Manager – Corporate Communications

About the role

The Assistant Manager in the Corporate Communications Office will help raise the global brand and reputation of NUS Business School. The role focuses on media relations, internal communications and social‑media storytelling to engage prospective students, partners and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with local and international journalists, editors and media outlets; develop and distribute press releases, advisories and thought‑leadership content.
• Support crisis communication by drafting holding statements, FAQs and media responses, and monitoring public sentiment.
• Maintain a consistent brand voice across social channels, create and edit short videos, schedule and publish posts, and track performance metrics such as reach, engagement and leads.
• Assist with the annual NUS Business School Commencement Ceremony under guidance.

Required profile

• Degree in mass communication, new media, marketing or business.
• At least four years of proven experience in media relations or social media, preferably with agency exposure and journalist networks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong project‑management ability and experience handling sensitive or crisis communications.
• Familiarity with newsletters, e‑mail direct‑marketing and PR tools such as Cision.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Cision or similar media‑monitoring platforms.
• Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite and CapCut for visual content creation.
• Experience using Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn, X, TikTok and other scheduling tools for social‑media publishing.
