Principal Engineer, Process Engineering (Lithography) 200mm

About the role

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead lithography process development for 200mm photonics and power platforms. You will own the setup, qualification, and transfer of new lithography processes, ensuring they meet technical specifications and production goals.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement lithography processes according to technical requirements.
• Lead the Litho module UMD process engineers and coordinate photonics & power process development.
• Track project milestones, report progress to the department head, and keep projects on schedule.
• Troubleshoot process‑setup issues, run qualification lots, and collaborate with equipment teams to improve robustness.
• Work with integration teams to enhance process stability, margin, quality, and cost‑effectiveness.
• Maintain effective communication with customer engineering teams.
• Organize and deliver training to engineers and application engineers before mass production.
• Act as deputy for the lithography process section manager as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related physical science discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of hands‑on lithography experience; silicon photonics experience is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work across diverse cultures.
