Production Engineer – Plant Operations

About the role

You will join the production team and play a key role in supporting safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, you will oversee production support, inventory management, logistics coordination, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor daily production support activities to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
• Manage production planning, raw‑material, packaging and inventory to sustain uninterrupted manufacturing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to meet operational and business requirements.
• Monitor performance, resource consumption and inventory levels, implementing improvements for operational efficiency.
• Lead and supervise technicians and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and operational procedures.
• Execute SAP transactions, maintain accurate operational records and prepare production and inventory reports.
• Drive troubleshooting, automation and digitalisation projects to enhance plant performance.
• Ensure compliance with ISO Management Systems, Safety Management System, environmental regulations and statutory requirements.

Required profile

• Production Supervisor (Diploma) or Engineer (Degree) in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering discipline.
• Relevant experience in manufacturing or process‑plant environments.
• Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, process operations and workplace safety.
• Proactive, resource‑ful and committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
