Production Technician

About the role

The Production Technician is responsible for safely operating equipment to fill, inspect, and prepare compressed and liquid gas cylinders for Air Liquide's Singapore manufacturing customers. The role ensures compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and production schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Sort and manage cylinders, update the Gideon WIP system, and perform month‑end inventory counts.
• Fill inert, flammable and toxic gas mixtures into cylinders and bundles following SOPs.
• Conduct incoming and outgoing quality checks to meet customer specifications.
• Monitor cylinder test dates, arrange maintenance, and perform disposal, de‑valving, painting, stenciling, palletisation and de‑palletisation.
• Maintain 6S housekeeping standards and support routine plant start‑up and shut‑down.
• Carry out basic corrective and preventive maintenance on production equipment such as valve replacement, manifold cleaning, vacuum pump replacement, and other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• ITE/NITEC/Diploma in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 1‑3 years of hands‑on experience in a chemical processing or process plant environment; fresh graduates with a strong learning attitude are also welcome.
• Solid understanding of personal and process safety standards in an industrial plant.

Required skills

• Forklift operation (advantageous).
