Project Engineer – New Product Introduction

About the role

The Project Engineer will lead new product introduction programmes from concept through to production for a multinational engineering and manufacturing organisation. You will work closely with customers, suppliers, engineering, quality and supply‑chain teams to launch innovative products while balancing performance, quality, cost and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional projects supporting new product introduction and product industrialisation.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
• Monitor timelines, costs, quality requirements and supply continuity.
• Support supplier selection, qualification and relationship management.
• Drive cost‑optimisation initiatives while maintaining product performance and quality.
• Identify and mitigate supply‑chain and manufacturing risks.
• Support product lifecycle management, including component changes and obsolescence planning.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement and strategic business initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, project management or product industrialisation environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Commercial awareness with interest in cost management and supplier engagement.
• Comfortable working with customers, suppliers and cross‑functional teams.
• Willingness to travel when required.
