Project Engineer – Pharmaceutical Projects

About the role

Wood is seeking a Project Engineer to lead capital projects for the growing Asian pharmaceutical market. The role ensures safe, on‑time, and on‑budget delivery while meeting engineering, safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop project proposals, business cases and define scope, cost, schedule and risk parameters.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee electrical, mechanical and process design, and manage vendor contracts.
• Track milestones, budgets and schedules, administer change control and ensure readiness for audits and regulatory inspections.
• Finalize technical closure, support maintenance set‑up and drive productivity improvements and digital integration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or related).
• Proven experience delivering projects in regulated or industrial environments.
• Familiarity with project controls, EPCM contractor management and industrial standards.
• Understanding of GMP, GEP, GDP, EHS and local SOPs.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking and commercial awareness.
