Research Fellow – 3D Reconstruction, Digital Human Modeling & Video Synthesis

About the role

The College of Computing and Data Science at Nanyang Technological University seeks a highly motivated Research Fellow to advance cutting‑edge work in 3D reconstruction, digital human modeling, and video synthesis. You will operate within a vibrant, research‑intensive environment, collaborating with leading academics and industry partners to push the boundaries of visual computing.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct independent and collaborative research on 3D reconstruction, digital human modeling, and video synthesis/editing.
• Publish high‑impact results in top‑tier journals and conferences.
• Mentor and supervise junior researchers and interns on related projects.
• Engage with industrial and academic partners to foster collaborative initiatives.
• Perform any additional duties required to support the research programme.

Required profile

• PhD (or equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Independent, analytical, proactive and able to work effectively in a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• In‑depth knowledge of 3D reconstruction, digital human modelling, and video generation.
• Proven ability to design and execute innovative research experiments.
• Willingness to adopt novel ideas and interdisciplinary approaches.
• Capability to formulate hypotheses, design experimental plans and report progress.
• Flexibility to work occasional extended hours as needed.
