Senior Counsel – Disputes & EPC (10+ PQE)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Counsel to join the senior legal leadership team of a multinational group in Singapore. The role focuses on complex disputes and Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) matters, providing strategic advice across the full project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategy and management of commercial disputes, arbitration and litigation across multiple jurisdictions.
• Advise on EPC‑related claims including delays, variations, performance, payment, defects and termination.
• Draft, review and negotiate EPC, procurement and other high‑value commercial agreements.
• Collaborate with project and business teams to identify and mitigate contractual risks.
• Manage external counsel, experts and dispute‑related costs.
• Provide senior stakeholders with guidance on commercial, governance and regulatory issues.
• Enhance legal processes, contract‑management practices and internal capabilities.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with at least 10 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven track record in complex commercial disputes, arbitration and litigation.
• Extensive experience advising on EPC contracts and project‑related claims.
• Background in major projects, engineering, construction or asset‑intensive environments is advantageous.
• Commercially astute, solutions‑oriented and comfortable advising senior leadership.
• Strong leadership, negotiation and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Expertise in commercial dispute resolution and arbitration.
• In‑depth knowledge of EPC contract structures and claim handling.
• Ability to draft and negotiate high‑value commercial agreements.
