Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

Our client, a global leader in ICT infrastructure and smart devices, is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide strategic legal support across research & development, corporate affairs, intellectual property and regulatory matters in Southeast Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Lead legal counsel for R&D activities, including technology collaborations, complex procurement and labour relations.
• Draft, review and negotiate high‑stakes commercial contracts and support regional business expansion.
• Oversee corporate dispute resolution to minimise institutional risk.
• Develop and strengthen IP capabilities across Southeast Asia, managing IP operations and strategic cooperation.
• Lead regional IP mediation, arbitration and litigation to protect the innovation portfolio.
• Monitor and analyse evolving legislation in major Southeast Asian markets, providing strategic reporting on AI governance, export controls, labour law and IP protection.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law (LL.M or J.D.) with a focus on Intellectual Property or Corporate Law.
• Professional fluency in English and Chinese (written and oral).
• Deep understanding of Singapore labour law and regional legal frameworks.
• Experience in a multinational technology firm or a top‑tier law firm is preferred.
