Senior Mechanical Engineer – Power Systems & Turbine Excitation

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our service team in Singapore. You will lead retrofit projects and support turbine excitation systems while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Participate as a Service Team member focused on safety metrics.
• Plan pre‑outage and installations, recommending policies and procedures.
• Lead execution of retrofit projects, HMI products, Generator Protection Systems (GPP) and Power System Stabilization systems.
• Perform project management and technical leadership duties.
• Support warranty administration and troubleshoot field issues.
• Prepare service reports, invoicing packages and meet all documentation deadlines.
• Drive customer satisfaction through quality commitment.
• Trace software documentation, implement control constant modifications and modify software sequencing.
• Set up and modify hardware/software for Gas/Steam Turbine Excitation and LCI systems.
• Implement excitation control system software changes.
• Work with DOS and Windows NT operator interfaces, analog and digital controls.
• Provide technical direction for wiring installation, functionality checks and troubleshooting of turbine excitation/LCI systems.
• Perform start‑up/shut‑down sequencing and turbine/generator operation.
• Work holidays, weekends and overtime as required and travel extensively.
