Senior Staff Nurse – Urgent Care

About the role

The Senior Staff Nurse will provide timely, safe, and patient‑centred care to individuals presenting with urgent health needs in an Urgent Care Center. The role demands strong clinical assessment, rapid decision‑making in emergency situations, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Triages patients, prioritising care based on physical, psychological and social assessments.
• Conducts focused assessments of presenting complaints, medical history and medications following triage guidelines.
• Monitors patients regularly, documents assessments and evaluates changes in condition.
• Assists clinicians during examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments, and initiates timely interventions when conditions deteriorate.
• Participates in CPR and emergency interventions, working closely with physicians to stabilise patients.
• Communicates care plans and treatment updates to patients and next‑of‑kin, and coordinates admissions, transfers and ongoing care with other departments and institutions.

Required profile

• Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board (mandatory).
• Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Emergency) – preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in an emergency or urgent care setting.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
