Service Technician & Spare Parts Inventory Specialist

About the role

SMEG Singapore is looking for a Service Technician who will also manage the spare parts inventory for its home‑appliance portfolio. The role combines on‑site installation, repair and maintenance of appliances with the responsibility of keeping inventory accurate and well‑organized.

Key responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, service and repair SMEG home appliances at customer locations.
• Respond to service calls, diagnose faults and perform on‑site repairs or part replacements.
• Provide customers with advice on operation and maintenance of their products.
• Prepare detailed service reports and update job status in the system.
• Manage spare‑parts stock: receive, check, store, pick and issue parts for service jobs.
• Monitor stock levels, conduct regular counts and reconcile physical stock with system records.
• Identify slow‑moving, obsolete or damaged items and coordinate replenishment with suppliers.
• Maintain accurate inventory documentation and ensure proper storage and identification of parts.
• Collaborate with the Service & Customer Service teams on technical issues and follow‑up cases.

Required profile

• Experience in appliance servicing, electrical or electronic equipment is an advantage.
• Prior exposure to spare‑parts or warehouse inventory management preferred.
• Basic electrical knowledge and ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams and service manuals.
• Good organisational and record‑keeping abilities.
• Comfortable using computers and inventory/ERP systems.
• Valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence.
• Independent, responsible, disciplined and eager to learn.
