Software Developer Intern – C++ (Singapore)

About the role

Join DRW’s Singapore office as a Software Developer Intern and work on advanced trading and risk applications using cutting‑edge technology. You will develop computationally intensive software under senior mentorship with the goal of delivering a production‑ready solution by the end of your internship.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy proprietary software solutions across the firm.
• Create decoders to receive raw packet data from exchanges and translate it into accessible formats.
• Build normalizers that construct order books for each traded instrument.
• Develop applications that communicate executed trades to the compliance team.
• Identify innovative solutions to complex problems and advocate for their implementation.
• Conduct data‑driven research and apply statistical analytics to large data sets.
• Collaborate with software developers, quantitative traders, researchers, and business analysts in cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related discipline with expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Exposure to network programming (TCP/IP), multithreaded applications, computational intelligence, real‑time or GUI programming.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Excellent software development skills in C++ (or C) and a deep curiosity to learn new technologies quickly.
