About the role
We are seeking a Statutory Audit Compliance Member to join our global environmental science company on a one‑year contract, with the possibility of extension. The role will support audit, tax and reporting activities across the APAC region.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage engagements with external service providers across APAC, including auditors, tax advisors, tax teams, and Accounting, Compliance & Reporting teams.
- Drive cross‑functional collaboration to gather information and ensure timely completion of statutory, regulatory, and tax filing requirements.
- Advise stakeholders on accounting treatments and financial reporting matters to ensure compliance with IFRS standards and internal policies.
- Develop and maintain consolidated reporting and audit support documentation across APAC entities.
- Lead initiatives to standardise statutory reporting processes and outputs across the region, working closely with Finance, IT and other key stakeholders.
- Prepare and enhance Standard Operating Procedures related to audit support, tax compliance and data extraction processes.
- Serve as a point of reference for accounting and tax‑related queries, providing guidance and support to internal teams.
- Perform and review tax reconciliations across multiple APAC jurisdictions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Evaluate existing workflows, identify inefficiencies and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Assist in designing, implementing and strengthening internal control frameworks to enhance governance and compliance standards.
- Participate in or lead regional projects and strategic initiatives, ensuring successful execution and alignment with business objectives.
Required profile
- Strong knowledge of statutory financial reporting and auditing standards.
- At least 2 years of experience in audit and commercial environments.
- Experience in financial analysis and reporting within industrial or manufacturing settings.
- Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.
