About the role
The Strategic Planning team at STB is seeking a motivated officer to help shape Singapore’s tourism future. You will work on analysing past performance, forecasting trends and developing mid‑ to long‑term strategies that support the Tourism 2040 roadmap.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with MTI, MND/URA and STB’s Analytics & Insights team to analyse historical tourism data and produce short‑ and long‑term performance projections.
- Conduct impact assessments of policy changes and geopolitical developments on Singapore’s tourism sector.
- Set and monitor key tourism performance targets, ensuring alignment with Tourism 2040 objectives.
- Identify emerging trends, blind spots, competitive threats and new opportunities through futures planning.
- Prepare quarterly KPI updates and industry outlook reports for MTI and senior STB management.
- Coordinate annual corporate planning cycles and cross‑functional work‑plan alignment.
Required profile
- 3–8 years of relevant work experience, preferably in policy analysis, strategic planning or tourism economics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically, connect disparate data points and work independently.
- Good business acumen, analytical judgment and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Commitment to serving with purpose and a willingness to innovate continuously.
