Team Lead – Trade Finance & Lending Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead to manage daily trade finance and lending operations for a leading commercial bank in Asia. You will oversee transaction processing, document verification, and ensure service delivery meets defined KPIs and SLAs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team responsible for trade finance and loan operations, including transaction processing and document checking.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to maintain operational performance.
• Monitor and report on KPIs, SLAs, reconciliations, reporting, controls and SOP compliance.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Drive process improvements, support business projects and provide training to team members.
• Report directly to the Head of Operations with regular updates on performance and issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in trade finance or loan operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong command of English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.
• Ability to communicate effectively with overseas stakeholders.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of trade finance products such as documentary credits, collections and guarantees.
• Familiarity with international trade finance rules including UCP, URC, URDG, ISP and ISBP.
