Tenured Professor of Physics – Quantum Science & Technology

About the role

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) seeks a tenured Professor of Physics to lead research and teaching in Quantum Science and Technology. The position is based in the Division of Physics and Applied Physics within the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and includes a minority appointment in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and sustain a world‑class research programme in quantum science and technology.
• Lead and collaborate with other principal investigators to set strategic research directions.
• Secure competitive research grants and manage research funding.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses and develop new curricula.
• Supervise and mentor PhD, master’s and undergraduate students.
• Participate in departmental and university service, including administrative and leadership roles.

Required profile

• PhD in Physics or a closely related discipline.
• Established record of high‑impact, peer‑reviewed publications.
• Demonstrated success in obtaining competitive research grants.
• Experience supervising and mentoring research staff and graduate students.
• Strong reputation as a researcher in quantum science and technology, either theoretical or experimental.
