Vice President, Group Strategic Communications & Brand

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Communications professional to manage communications for our Wholesale Banking and Global Markets businesses. The role shapes and executes integrated communications strategies that strengthen the bank’s reputation, support business objectives, and position the organisation as a trusted partner to corporate, institutional and investor clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic communications programmes that support Wholesale Banking and Global Markets business objectives.
• Craft clear and compelling narratives that enhance the bank’s thought leadership and market position.
• Advise senior executives on communications strategy, stakeholder engagement and reputation management.
• Develop media relations, manage enquiries, and prepare press releases, media pitches, briefing notes and spokesperson talking points.
• Create executive communications including speeches, keynote addresses, opinion articles, LinkedIn content and executive messaging.
• Support internal communications initiatives to strengthen employee engagement and communicate business achievements.
• Assist with crisis communications planning, issues management and develop response strategies for sensitive business issues.
• Build trusted relationships with senior business leaders, product teams, economists, research analysts and coordinate communications across markets.
