Accountant – 2 Year Fixed-Term Contract

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Accountant to join our finance team on a two‑year fixed‑term contract. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support revenue negotiations, invoice processing and various month‑end activities while ensuring data accuracy in our ERP system.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in compiling information to support revenue regime negotiations.
• Assist in compiling supporting invoices for exogenous claims.
• Support the implementation and user testing of the InvoiceNow project, ensuring accuracy of UEN/GST registration numbers for customer and vendor masters and resolving any gaps.
• Assist in preparing audit confirmations on customer balances.
• Assist in the monthly review of accounts receivable aging.
• Assist in processing customer billing and receipts.
• Create PDF invoices using Adobe Writer.
• Handle manual updates in Business Central for retail platform transactions and notify the Retail Platform team when payments are received.
• Handle manual updates in Business Central for the sale of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) and ensure matching of REC purchases.
• Assist in preparing balance‑sheet schedules and reconciliations.
• Support the Finance Manager with additional administrative tasks as required.
• Provide supporting information for auditors.
• Cover the duties of the accountant/accounts executive during their absence.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy or ACCA.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on accounting experience, preferably in AR/AP.
• Strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
