International Accounting Lead – APAC

About the role

Anthropic is seeking an International Accounting expert to build and implement compliance frameworks for its APAC entities, starting with Singapore, Japan and Korea. This senior position reports to the APAC Accounting Lead and will be the first hire in the Singapore hub.

Key responsibilities

• Build and implement local compliance frameworks across APAC entities, aligning with statutory requirements and global standards.
• Establish monthly financial statement review processes, including flux analysis and variance explanations.
• Develop and adapt international finance policies for regional needs and create local approval workflows.
• Execute monthly consolidation, eliminations, journal entries, intercompany reconciliations, and support group‑level reporting.
• Manage intercompany transactions, transfer pricing documentation, and FX processes for currency consolidation and risk management.
• Support statutory audits, coordinate with external auditors, and prepare audit schedules.
• Partner with US‑based teams to integrate international operations with global financial processes.

Required profile

• 8+ years of accounting experience in high‑growth, multi‑country environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
• Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and local statutory frameworks in at least one APAC jurisdiction.
• Strong collaboration, communication and ownership skills.

Required skills

• Workday or NetSuite (or similar ERP) proficiency.
• Experience with consolidations, eliminations and intercompany accounting.
• FX handling and transfer‑pricing documentation.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
