APAC Controllership Accountant

About the role

Google is looking for an experienced APAC Controllership Accountant to join its finance team in Singapore. You will own end‑to‑end accounting processes, ensure accurate financial reporting, and partner with cross‑functional teams to support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive month‑end and year‑end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
• Perform P&L and balance‑sheet analytics, tax compliance, and statutory reporting for the APAC region.
• Prepare and present financial information to finance leaders, business partners, auditors, and regional stakeholders.
• Collaborate with global teams to improve accounting processes and adopt new technologies.
• Manage project planning, status reporting, and issue tracking for finance initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CA preferred).
• 7 years of accounting experience, or 5 years with an advanced degree (MBA or MSA).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and experience with ERP systems.
• Ability to work independently, propose solutions, and anticipate challenges.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP platforms.
• Experience using AI tools for finance automation.
• Familiarity with ERP system integration.
