Application Engineer – Automation, PLC & Control Systems

About the role

The Application Engineer will support and set up motion control, machine vision, and signal/control devices for automation equipment. The role involves designing electrical schematics, performing feasibility studies, and ensuring successful commissioning at customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Design electrical schematic diagrams, single‑line diagrams, and cable harnesses for motion controller systems and sensors.
• Create Bills of Material for cable assemblies and electrical components used in projects.
• Perform DOE for risk mitigation and feasibility studies on design concepts.
• Review and guide the development of product manuals and application notes for new products.
• Evaluate and recommend solutions based on customer specifications and resolve application issues.
• Commission machines at factory or customer sites and provide training to customers.
• Travel overseas on short notice as required.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in industrial automation, semiconductor, control systems, motion, robotics or related fields (or strong learning ability).
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask in a fast‑paced environment and work well in a team.
• Positive attitude, responsibility and initiative.
