Assistant Director (Finance)

About the role

The Accountant-General’s Department (AGD) is seeking an Assistant Director to join the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Finance Group. This senior finance professional will be forward‑deployed to support budgetary and financial stewardship across PMO agencies, ensuring fiscal sustainability and value‑for‑money in public spending.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure optimal provision, allocation and management of agency budgets to meet strategic objectives.
• Review and formulate internal finance policies and procedures to strengthen financial administration and internal controls.
• Guarantee that all budgetary and financial activities comply with finance regulations and guidelines.
• Support the Internal Approving Authority and Tender Boards by evaluating funding proposals and tender submissions for operational and financial viability.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Accountancy, Business, Finance or a related discipline.
• CA Singapore certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in comparable finance or accounting roles.
• Proven ability to develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders.
• Capability to present sound proposals and recommendations for management decisions.
