Business Controller – APAC Airports (Singapore)

About the role

Vanderlande is looking for a proactive Business Controller to join the Project & Service Control team for the Airports domain in APAC. Based in Singapore, you will partner with Project Managers, Finance, and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure financial excellence across large‑scale airport projects and long‑term service contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Own and lead financial reporting and performance tracking for assigned airport projects and service contracts in APAC.
• Ensure accuracy of forecasts, revenue recognition, billing, and margin reporting for baggage handling and airport logistics projects.
• Drive Cost Estimate Reviews (CERs) by aligning inputs from project managers, controllers, and operational teams.
• Coordinate Project Board meetings, delivering insights on revenue, cash flow, billing, and risk/opportunity analysis.
• Lead scenario mapping and financial modelling for complex airport projects (e.g., BHS, check‑in, baggage systems).
• Maintain compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements and standardisation across the APAC airports controlling landscape.
• Act as financial sparring partner to Airport Project and Service Managers, challenging assumptions and mitigating financial risk.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Procurement, and Supply Chain to ensure financial alignment for projects and contracts.

Required profile

• Finance professional comfortable working independently in a dynamic, international environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on fact‑based decision‑making.
• Experience in financial reporting, forecasting, cost estimate reviews, and financial modelling.
• Proven ability to drive process improvements and standardisation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
