Financial Controller – SGX Listed Company

About the role

We are seeking a sharp, commercially‑minded Financial Controller to lead our financial management function. You will not only oversee the numbers but also shape the company’s financial direction, influencing capital structure, banking relationships, and growth initiatives such as M&A and restructuring.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in line with SGX listing rules and applicable accounting standards.
• Lead corporate restructuring, M&A activities and due‑diligence processes.
• Manage treasury functions, including liquidity, foreign‑exchange exposure and fund investment.
• Build and maintain strong banking relationships to secure financing facilities.
• Identify and develop financial growth opportunities, new financing structures and capital‑market options.
• Manage the company’s capital structure and evaluate financing options to optimise cost of capital.
• Partner with senior leadership and the Board on financial strategy, investor relations and corporate planning.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and tax requirements across relevant jurisdictions.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team to build a high‑performing function.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, ACCA or equivalent professional certification.
• Minimum 5 years of financial management experience, with prior exposure to an SGX‑listed company.
• Proven experience in corporate restructuring, M&A and treasury management.
• Established banking relationships and ability to negotiate financing.
• Proactive mindset with strong analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• High integrity, commercial acumen and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
