Assistant Nurse Clinician

About the role

The Assistant Nurse Clinician works closely with the Nurse/Care Manager to deliver safe, cost‑effective, high‑quality nursing care. The role requires strong clinical reasoning, critical thinking and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Implement patient care plans in partnership with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) based on assessed needs.
• Facilitate admissions, transfers, discharges and monitor patient progress.
• Detect early signs of clinical deterioration, perform physiological assessments and escalate care when needed.
• Execute physicians’ orders promptly, assist with bedside procedures and treatments.
• Educate patients and families on disease progression, prevention and self‑care management.
• Review infection‑control practices, ensure compliance and identify improvement areas.
• Plan and deliver in‑service training for nurses and students.
• Supervise the use of medical equipment, EMR systems and clinical workflows, especially during emergencies.

Required profile

• Advanced Diploma or Bachelor in Nursing.
• Valid practicing licence with the Singapore Nursing Board.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Competent use of medical equipment.
