Regional Director, Medical Affairs - HIV

About the role

The Regional Director, Medical Affairs – HIV leads the execution of scientific and medical‑affairs plans for HIV across the assigned region. Positioned within the Value & Implementation organization, the role collaborates with commercial, outcomes research, policy and market access teams to drive strategic medical initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead country V&I GMSA staff to deliver the annual scientific and medical plan for HIV.
• Chair the Regional Value and Implementation Team (RVIT) to ensure alignment of medical tactics and best‑practice sharing.
• Consolidate regional input for global V&I teams and translate global goals into regional priorities.
• Engage with contracted scientific leaders, guideline committees, payers and public groups to generate actionable insights.
• Organise regional expert‑input events, symposia and educational meetings.

Required profile

• MD, PhD or PharmD (MD preferred) with recognized expertise in HIV.
• Minimum five years of experience in country/region Medical Affairs, preferably in HIV.
• Strong prioritisation, decision‑making and matrix collaboration skills.
• Ability to travel up to 35% of the time.
