Associate Heart Valve Specialist

About the role

The Associate Heart Valve Specialist supports the manufacturing of high‑precision medical devices by sewing tissue and non‑tissue components for heart valves and stents. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in a regulated clean‑room environment, working with specialized tools and following strict SOPs.

Key responsibilities

• Use needles, scissors, forceps, specialized tooling, microscopes, magnifying lamps and MES to perform sewing steps on valve and stent assemblies.
• Verify completed steps against specifications and record traceable information in device history records, including JDE entries.
• Conduct line clearance, cleaning and sanitizing work stations at shift start and when changing work orders.
• Perform visual inspections under a microscope and review colleagues' work sequentially.
• Maintain general housekeeping, material handling, and printing tasks as required.

Required profile

• Secondary education; prior sewing, GMP, clean‑room or medical‑device experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while following detailed manufacturing instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety, environmental and pandemic protocols.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools such as needles, scissors, forceps and specialized tooling.
• Experience using microscopes and magnifying lamps for inspection.
• Basic knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and JDE for data entry.
• Basic computer skills.
