Job description
About the role
P&G is looking for a Scientist Manager in Cell & Systems Biology at its CF-R&D team in Singapore (TC-Biopolis). You will lead the development of next-generation biological models, tissue systems and screening platforms to investigate mechanisms and intervention opportunities across cells, tissues and organ systems. The role combines experimental biology, assay innovation and systems-level thinking to generate human-relevant, decision-ready evidence and build external scientific credibility.
Key responsibilities
- Lead biological model and assay strategy: define roadmaps for 2D and 3D cellular, tissue and organ-system models, design, optimise, validate and deploy assays, and evaluate emerging models such as organ-on-chip and next-generation screening approaches.
- Advance mechanistic and translational discovery: investigate pathways, cellular interactions, system perturbations and recovery, connect molecular mechanisms to tissue and organ outcomes, and turn evidence into program recommendations.
- Provide scientific leadership: guide scientists in experimental design, method development and troubleshooting, translate findings into recommendations for technical and business stakeholders, build external partnerships and mentor others.
Required profile
- PhD in Skin Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, Biomedical Sciences or a related discipline, with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Deep expertise in human skin biology and cosmetic skin benefit mechanisms.
- Proven experience developing and deploying 2D and/or 3D skin models.
- Demonstrated success in multidisciplinary, collaborative teams.
- Preferred: experience with organotypic cultures, skin explants, skin-on-chip systems or 3D bioprinting; experience integrating biological, imaging, molecular or omics datasets; familiarity with laboratory data management systems; experience in cosmetics, consumer health, biotechnology, pharmaceutical or CRO settings; track record of patents, collaborations and scientific leadership.
Required skills
- High-throughput screening and high-content imaging
- Molecular assays and quantitative biological endpoints
- Experimental design, scientific problem solving and data interpretation
