Audit Associate

About the role

Acclime is seeking a motivated Audit Associate to join its growing audit team. You will work closely with senior auditors to deliver high‑quality audit services for clients across Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Apply Acclime’s audit methodology and use Caseware Auditing Software to perform audit procedures.
• Obtain a solid understanding of clients' internal control systems and assess their design and operating effectiveness.
• Review working papers prepared by staff accountants and exercise professional scepticism on complex, judgment‑heavy areas.
• Assist the Audit Senior in planning audits, applying a risk‑based approach, and designing procedures to test internal controls.
• Identify control lapses, provide improvement recommendations, and communicate audit findings.
• Handle small engagements independently and document audit issues and conclusions clearly.
• Review financial statements and disclosures for consistency with audit workpapers and accounting policies.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and engagement team members.
• Participate in internal training to keep technical knowledge up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Degree in accountancy or related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification.
• 1‑2 years of relevant audit experience in an audit firm.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Good understanding of the Singapore Companies Act, Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSA) and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
• Strong analytical, time‑management and communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
