Client Accountant – Singapore

About the role

As a Client Accountant you will manage the financial accounting for an assigned portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with Singapore regulations. Reporting to the Accounting Team Manager, you will collaborate with both local and offshore teams to meet client expectations and optimise processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual account closings and submit timely GST reports.
• Draft financial statements in line with the Singapore Companies Act and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with statutory filing requirements.
• Review and guide offshore colleagues’ deliverables to meet client standards.
• Coordinate with internal departments on billing and accounts‑receivable matters.
• Stay updated on IRAS and SFRS regulations and adapt processes accordingly.
• Liaise directly with external auditors and provide required documentation.
• Perform ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant designation or equivalent professional certification (advantageous).
• Minimum 5 years of experience handling full‑set accounts.
• Strong grounding in accounting principles and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
• Analytical, meticulous and capable of driving change.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Fluent English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with payroll and accounting software.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
